Buying a two seater - what would you recommend?

My budget is £2500 approx. Which 2 seater convertible would you recommend as a summer car and why?

Mazda MX-5 Mk II. More choice. More reliable than an MGTF. Unfortunately prices of all such cars just shot up by at least £1,000 because Spring arrived.
