Porsche Cayenne

I am thinking of buying a new Cayenne.

Do you have any advice on the suitability of the diesel over petrol version? As I drive only 12000 miles a year is the improved MPG a false economy when put against the higher purchase price and presumably higher servicing costs?

Haven't driven it, but those who have seem to like it. It's actually the cheapest Cayenne. The more expensive option is the hybrid.
