Buying branded diesel worthwhile?

I have recently experienced a blocked fuel filter on my 1 year old Isuzu Rodeo with only 10,000 miles on the clock.

The garage / mechanic from the franchised dealer suggested that this could be down to using dirty fuel and asked if I had purchased any / much fuel from supermarkets as they understood others had experienced a similar problem with such fuel in the past.

Is this something you are aware of and where is the best place to buy clean fuel? I have two other diesel cars and want to avoid another costly £200 repair!

Avoid supermarket diesel and try to stick to the same fuel station for all your fuel and keep the receipts. Then, any trouble, you can take action against the fuel station.
