Traction control on or off in snow?
Honest John has previously advised that ESP/ESC should turned off when driving in snowy or icy conditions.
My Skoda has ASR (anti-skid regulation) but not full blown ESP. Is it advisable to switch off ASR in these same conditions and, if so, why? The car has four winter tyres.

You switch that off. If you hit ice it will counter your natural reactions and have you off the road. If you don't believe me, try it (preferably on a skidpan).
