Vibration in a Kia Cee'd

A high frequency vibration peaks at about 2900 rpm on my Kia Cee'd. It's not noticeable at low revs but unpleasant at 65ish mph, coming through the steering wheel and pedals.

Depressing the clutch and dropping the revs when moving stops vibrations.

The dealer cannot help but says a car in for service vibrated, test drive of new one showed vibration, but not as bad as mine.

Also complaints of this at the same revs in i10 1.2 automatics from 2011 facelift on. Cause not yet established.
