V-Power petrol - should I switch?

As a regular reader of your column, I note that you frequently recommend Shell V power as the best petrol for it's performance enhancing & engine cleaning qualities. I have a Nissan Note Acenta 1.6 automatic & do about 3500 miles a year using ordinary unleaded petrol as recommended by the manufacturer. If I switch to V Power, will my engine have to be retuned and can I just add it to existing petrol in the tank ie. mix the two petrols. Can the higher grade V Power damage the engine in any way?

No problem. Just add V-Power to the petrol already in your tank and keep refilling with V-Power petrol. You will notice a gradual improvement in smoothness and performance at low revs. If you take advantage of this, your fuel economy will improve.

You recommended Shell V-Power. I have no Shell garages near me only BP, Total & Esso. Do they do an equivalent high grade petrol?
