I suggest your readers don't fix their telepeage units to the windscreen.
I have had a telepeage 'gizmo' for several years for use on French autoroutes. It is great and can save a lot of time, but there are very few toll booths with the technology that allows you to drive through at 30kmph without stopping. I have always been concerned about sticking it on the windscreen (when I first got it the girl did indeed stick it on my windscreen just to the left of the rear view mirror) and leaving it there, as it can give anyone stealing it access to my bank account. I now keep it in its silver envelope whilst travelling and hold it in the position that she showed me when I am just about to go through the tollbooth. I have recently changed my car for a Peugeot 3008 and find that the position is the same in this car.

Many thanks. That's a good tip. Readers can get the Liber-t for automated telepeage payment from: www.tolltickets.com/country/france/libert.aspx?lan...c
