Is the 7-speed DSG gearbox in our 2009 Volkswagen Touran sufficiently reliable to reach 150,000 miles?

Last week the 7-speed DSG box of our March 2009 Volkswagen Touran Diesel packed up, having done 53,000 miles. As you can see from the mileage we do mostly distance driving and little in city traffic, moreover we drive without any towing or exceptional load carrying. Fortunately we had extended the warranty when it lapsed last March, so we will not bear the cost of any repairs, but the incident made me wonder whether the DSG boxes are now out of their teething troubles. Are they sufficiently reliable to run the car to 150,000-200,000 miles, as we originally intended to, or would we better exchange it at, say, 100,000?

Part of the problem is the maintenance required. They need fresh fluid every two years and it is essential that the microfilter is replaced at the same time. Then, eventually, the clutches will wear out. And because, unlike a torque converter auto, DSGs still have dual mass flywheels, you will have the problem of that failing too, at any time between about 100,000 miles and 150,000 miles.
