Can you recommend a good replacement for our AWD Fiat Sedici?
My wife has a 5-year-old 1.6 petrol engined Fiat Sedici with 30,000 miles which has been an excellent buy with absolutely no running problems, just regular dealer servicing. It has proved to be economical to run with the added benefit of selectable electronic AWD when needed. For example, as a self-employed service engineer I run a Fiat Scudo LWB 120 Multijet which remained solidly on my drive during the heavy winter snow. However I switched to the Sedici to get to customers and it never let me down across many rural and trunk routes that were proving very difficult to non-4WD drivers.
We are looking for a replacement and, having now had the benefit of something like a 2WD with selectable AWD, can you suggest a similar sized vehicle new or nearly new? As annual running mileage is low, it's probably best as a petrol-engined version. Our budget would be trade in plus £15,000.

The Sedici and Suzuki SX4 now have a much sweeter 1.6 chain cam petrol engine, availaible with 2WD, with 2WD and automatic box, or with 4WD. Alternatively consider a Toyota Urban Cruiser 1.4 D-4D AWD.

All models originally had switchable four-wheel drive. Seats five. Good crash test ratings.
Reasonably spacious five-seater with a decent boot, strong and economical diesel, tidy handling in 4WD.
Chunky and quirky looks. A rare sight on UK roads. 1.4 D-4D AWD surprisingly enjoyable to drive.
