Thank you for recommending the Volkswagen Polo 105PS 1.2 TSI.
On 8 August 2010 I wrote to you as I was thinking of changing my car and was wondering whether Volkswagen had any plans to sell the Polo diesel fitted with their 105PS 1.6 engine. I had tried the car with the 90PS 1.6 and thought it lacking in urge. You replied on 10 August and suggested that I should try the 105PS Polo 1.2 TSI. I took your advice, was pleasantly impressed and placed an order on 30 August.
I took delivery on 7 January 2011 and have now covered 1,100 miles in the car. I find the engine and gearbox very sweet to use and with quite good performance. I get 44-46 mpg, which may well improve with use. I agree with you that at first glance the boot appears small, but with its two level floor it is extremely practical in use. I would like to thank you for suggesting I try the 1.2 TSI, a car which I would quite likely have overlooked.

Well done. I hope the decision will give you a lot of pleasure and saves you trouble and disappointment. For short runs from cold the 1.2TSI should warm up much faster than the old 1.6 because it has a watercooled turbo that, being the hottest part of the engine, helps the rest of it heat up quickly.
