I owned a Nissan Qashqai Acenta 2.0 DCI Turbo for 31 months during which time it covered 20,000 miles. It averaged 40mpg (according to the computer). At no time did I have any issues with the DPF. At each service I paid for three litres of DPF cleaning fluid. Whilst the car was never used for typical school run mileage of one or two mile runs, I used it as I have used any previous car i.e. shopping trips, day trips, cross-country A and B roads plus, of course, motorway journeys. A complete mixture. After taking delivery of the car and reading all the doom and gloom in your columns and also the Qashqai owner's forum, I was concerned that I might have bought a problem vehicle. Clearly, I hadn't. I have now replaced the Nissan with a Citroen DS3 D Style 120. First impressions are that it is a wonderful car, I hope it fulfils its potential.
