Which comfortable MPV-style vehicle would you recommend to replace our Vauxhall Meriva?

We currently run a Vauxhall Meriva ‘A’ 1.7CDTI and will shortly be looking to replace it. We have been looking for something in the £30 tax bracket that can tow a folding camper weighing up to 1,100kg, and we need the MPV type as my wife finds it difficult to get into other cars as she has steel rods in her back, and want the diesel engine for economy. Up until now I have managed to find three cars that fit the bill; the 1.6 diesel C3 Picasso, the 1.4 diesel Kia Venga or the Hyundai ix20. Which of these would you recommend, or do you know of others that may suit?

All good, plus the Nissan Note 1.5DCI and the Renault Modus 1.5DCI. But I reckon the Hyundai ix20 will be the best because it's a better looking development of the KIA Venga with all its virtues but a bit more refinement.
