Gearbox oil leak on my Fiesta

There is an small oil leak through the joint at the bottom of the rear of the gearbox on my 2.5 year old Fiesta purchased new May 2009 with 16000 miles on the clock (1.4 petrol). Obviously this is a warranty issue and the supplying dealer is looking at the car today. I am just wondering whether you know whether this is a known problem with this model, and if so what the remedy might be?

Not a regular problem, just something that could happen. But your car is now on dealer warranty, not on Ford warranty. The Ford warranty only lasts 12 months.
