Buying an old car
Hello. I am thinking of buying a Mercedes saloon between 10-20 years old. Pardon my ignorance but I dont know much about CO2. Is the car bound to fail MoT if it does not have a catlytic converter fitted? Could i get around this by buying a diesel model? Or what?

Avoid W210 E Class. They rust like no other car. Petrol models will all have catalytic converters.
