Transferable parts?
I purchased a 2007 Corsa 1.2 Club in the UK, which I subsequently exported to South Africa two years later. Here the base model is a 1.4. As we (I won't say who in the family!) ran the engine with a dry radiator, I suspect we have blown the cylinder head gasket. Although I read the comments about mayonnaise build-up under short-mileage situations, I am pessimistic about this case. Are the head gaskets for the 1.2 and 1.4 the same (ditto for water-pump & thermostat), or would I need to look at importing these in order to affect repairs?

Completely different engines. The 1.2 is chain cam. The 1.4 is belt.
