Buying a speedy, spacious car
I need to replace my Nissan 200sx as its just failed its MOT with a long list of repairs.
I no longer need the same performance, but want something reliable, fun to drive, enough oomph to overtake the endless tractors on our local roads, better rear legroom, big enough boot for a mountain bike, and reasonable running costs (9000 miles a year).
I can spend around £8000, and would prefer to buy up to 3 years old, unless its really worth buying new. I used to have a Mk2 Golf GTI, so am wondering if I should get another hatchback. What do you suggest?
