Fumes in the cabin

I purchased an 05 Citroen C4 from a local small dealer on Wednesday of this week, and is very clean inside and out. I noticed on my way home a slight fumey smell coming from the a/c but thought it was down to it being parked inside for a while.

I went for a drive on the motorway and it seemed to clear but it appears to have returned and is more noticeable on short journeys. The car comes with a 3 month warranty and I was wondering if this would be covered by that, or do you have any suggestions to remedy it?

Try running the system on maximum heat for 10 minutes. That will dry out any condensation in the trunking and should kill any bacteria lurking there.
