Will an advanced driving test mean cheaper insurance?
I am now in my Eighties. Friends who know me well congratulate me on my driving skills. My motive being to drive safely for the safety of passengers. For Insurance purposes and DVLA would you advise me to take an advanced drivers test?

Some insurers will provide a discount on your premium if you have an advanced driving qualification, but we would suggest contacting your insurer first to see if this is the case. Generally speaking the DVLA do not take into account advanced qualifications, as the licence requirements for the over 70s are primarily focused on medical fitness to drive.
