Are digital instrument displays reliable?

Are there big problems with these new TFT SCREENS in the instrument binnacle in terms of reliability? In particular the Clio?

Although digital instrument displays are more complicated that traditional analogue instruments, generally speaking they are reliable. No component is 100% reliable, and a replacement screen will not be cheap, but prices are coming down as they are used in an increasing number of vehicles as manufacturers can use the same screen across a range of models.
