Noisy knocking MR2

I recently had a grinding noise coming from my rear driver side brake.

I took it to a garage and they told me I will need a new caliper at some point. They stripped the brake, cleaned and reassembled it, which helped with the grinding noise. It is making a slight rubbing noise but thats not a huge problem right now, but two days after being at the garage I now have a knocking noise coming from the car.

The noise is not there all the time but appears from time to time. It's only there when the car is moving and doesn't appear when the car is idling or when I rev the engine, which makes me think it isn't anything to do with the exhaust or anything.

Could this knocking noise be coming from the brake I was having problems with?

They told you you need a new caliper. They did what they could with the old one, but it is so worn you needs a new one.
