What family estate for £10,000 do you suggest?

Looking for a decent cheap family car. Mostly driven in the city for short journeys and some motorway drives. Looking at a potential hybrid as we live in London and it needs to be ULEZ compliant. Thinking about Auris / Corolla as we have a budget of around £10 to £13k.

A Toyota Corolla Touring sounds ideal. It' will be cheap to run and very reliable - plus, as it's a Toyota, it's covered by a warranty for up to 10 years (with regular main dealer servicing). If you want to look elsewhere, a Kia Niro Hybrid could be a good alternative.
