I have a Fiesta 1.25 V reg and the heaters will not turn off. I've changed the heater valve and flushed and renewed the coolant but this seems to have made things worse. Please help?

Well it sounds as though the blend doors are stuck. These control the amount of air coming into the car.
You could try pressing the recirculating button a few times to see if that will release them.
Also make sure that all cabling running to the heater matrix is working ok.
Rather difficult to get to the blend doors (behind the dash/radio).
In the short term you could turn of the water supply to the heater matrix , however you wouldn't have any heat at all.
