new car with space for golf clubs

Had my Saab 93 for 12 years and love it.I'm now at the stage where I spend more on it than its value or replace it.
After 20 years of Diesels, like to go back to a quiet petrol engine.

Requirements: automatic, reliable, comfortable, good pace without being an F1 car, boot space for my golf trolley/bag.

No preference to style/shape of vehicle. Can be car/coupe/sw/4x4. I like Ford's reliability, 'fun to drive' aspects, and indeed the Focus, and I like extras like for example the quick clear windscreen, parking sensors etc.

I like traction control, ABS etc. but I don't want a 'basic' vehicle and then have to pay for all the add-ons. I don't mind adding some, but not all.

What I love about Saab is that they are reliable, comfortable, give the feeling of security, value for money and are quality vehicles that last. Would be nice to replicate all of these aspects in a new car.

Price? Don't want to break the bank and neither do I want to pay for 'the badge.'

Looking for value for money, reliability and a vehicle that is a pleasure to drive.
