Audi A1/A3 1.2 or Polo 1.6 comfortline hatch?

I am just wanting to know which car you think is best for me to buy. My job is a surgical representative for a medical company. I am very interested in the Audi A3 1.2 or the VW polo hatch 1.6 and I am stuck between the two.

Please take into account resale value after a few years and general drive and feel of both cars. I personally love the look of the Audi but i just want some professional and practical advice.

Presumably you mean the Polo diesel. In which case, better the Polo 1.2TSI 105 v/s the 85PS A3 1.2 non turbo. Since thew A1 is basically a Polo, go for the Polo. Or think sideways and get a SEAT Ibiza 1.4 Twincharger DSG for £15,000.
