I want leather seats

My ambition for ages has been to own a car with leather seats. I have a budget of up to £4000.

In the past you have recommended a Daihatsu Copen, which I am intrigued by, and a Mazda MX-5, but occasionally need to carry up to four people, so a two-seater would not be practical.

Is there a small, economic and reliable car with leather seats and a bit of style within my budget?

I know of a rather nice looking Golf Cabriolet but with a 2-litre engine, which I fear would be too expensive to run on an annual mileage of up to 15,000 miles.

Although this is rather bigger than I had in mind, did they ever make Saab convertibles with leather seats and a diesel engine?

A convertible would be fun, but is not essential, whereas I really fancy the leather seats!

You just have to look. Even some Renault Clios were available with leather seats. But leather was usually an option, not standard on small cars. Horribly sweaty and nasty in the summer unless you have the a/c on full blast, and you still drench the backs of your shirts.
