Can a hybrid car be safely left unused for 2 weeks or more?

Can a self charging hybrid car be safely left unused for 2 weeks or more? Will it reliably start on return from a holiday.

The hybrid battery will be okay, however the 12v battery ( that starts the petrol engine) can sometimes lose its power if left for to long. You do not say what car you have and also where the car will be left when on holiday. If the car is to left at home (such as in a garage) then some owners have taken the precaution of putting the 12v battery on a trickle charger.
