Are there advantages to having oil fed cam belts?

Wet belt systems were introduced to reduce the weight of components, reduce the engine size, maximise efficiency and meet emissions targets. However wet belt systems need to have regular oil changes. Sometimes parts of the belt have been know to break resulting in the oil passage ways becoming blocked and the engine being damaged.

I have read a lot of bad press on the PSA 1.2 petrol engine, how much of this is actual and does it cover the turbo and non turbo engines?

I live in a remote area and do not trust hybrid battery cars - can you recommend a car with a straight 6 petrol engine? I believe they are the most reliable due to their balance. No wet belts either thanks....
