The DVLA is showing different details for a vehicle than the Motor Insurance Database - is this an offence?
If a car is showing on the DVLA as a particular make, but the Motor Insurance Database has it as a totally different make eg MG(DVLA) Renault(MID) is this an offence?

If there is a discrepancy between the data held by the Motor Insurance Database and the DVLA, then although this may technically not be an offence in itself it could be problematic for you, and could even mean your car is showing as uninsured.
Assuming your car is a an MG rather than a Renault, we would suggest contacting the Motor Insurance Bureau, who operate the MID, and explain the situation to them. You can find the details of how to contact them here: www.mib.org.uk/contact-us/
