Mercedes E-Class engine problems

I bought a new E Class Mercedes in September and a month ago the engine cut out for no reason.

Mercedes have taken it back in but found no problem.

Four days ago the same thing happened and the car is going in again today. Sadly I nearly had a very nasty accident last night as it did the same. As you can imagine I am not best pleased and I feel very unsafe.

I would like some advise on the best way forward as I feel that Mercedes should take some responsibility and perhaps replace the car or at least take the car back and reimburse my costs.

My wife is very unhappy! The car will be in the garage until next Monday as I am flying abroad for a four day business trip.

Presumably it's diesel. MB has been having some trouble with Piezo injectors. Your consumer rights are here: www.honestjohn.co.uk/faq/consumer-rights/
