Is premium diesel worth the extra cost?
Is it worth using a premium diesel fuel in a 2007 VW Passat 2.0 TDI car from the point of view of performance, engine longevity, smoother running etc?

Yes. I use premium petrol or premium diesel in everything I run for an extended period rather than just buy and sell.
