Best way to sell a new car (delivery mileage only)?
I have a Volkswagen Tiguan on order which is expected for delivery next month (which will be almost one year after ordering!). I no longer need the car but am loathed to lose my deposit so am wondering whether I should take delivery and then sell immediately.
The model is a 2.0-litre petrol 4WD, Auto, Elegance in black. Any idea how desirable these are at the moment vis a vis a potential private sale? Are there any specialists or auctions for nearly new cars?

I think you'll lose money whichever route you choose. The trade is unlikely to match the car's list price. And car buyers will be wary of spending so much money on a private sale.
I'd suggest speaking to the dealer. They will have a (very long) list of customers who are waiting for a new Tiguan. If they have another buyer waiting in the wings, they may refund your deposit and cancel the transaction. This would allow you to walk away without being out of pocket.
If they refuse, you can try some other car-buying sites that are listed here: www.honestjohn.co.uk/how-to-sell-your-car/#selling...e
