I bought a non-runner - how much will I need to spend?
Had a rush of blood to the head. Bought a boy racer (2015 Peugeot 208 GTI Limited Edition turbo petrol three-door hatchback), without reading fine print.
Description says non runner. ECU clicking. Mileage is 75,000. Photos show body in good order.
I paid £4,000.
1)Was this a huge mistake?
2)Can you tell me how much I'm likely to spend?
3)Can you recommend an honest mechanic in Greater Manchester, please?

1) Impossible to say without knowing why it's a non-runner. The clicking ECU could be something minor (battery problem). But the rock bottom price you paid for this car would suggest there is something much more serious going on with this car.
2) As per 1), it's impossible to say. You could easily spend another £4,000 on a replacement engine.
3) I'd recommend using our Good Garage Guide: good-garage-guide.honestjohn.co.uk/north-west/grea...r
