My others keeper
In March this year I bought a Volvo through a company in Scotland. The car was delivered direct from a main dealer. The car was pre registered and when I asked about the V5C document I was told it would be held for six months for 'audit' purposes and then sent to me. On enquiring after six months I am told by the selling company the V5 will be sent to me by Volvo in February. The car will be one year old at that time. Could you kindly advise if I should have any concerns about this or if there is any appropriate action I should take, such as contacting Volvo or the supplying dealer direct?

The reason for this is that the car has been bought at a fleet discount
and has to remain on the fleet for the period you have been told. You have to disclose this to your insurer as you will not be the registered keeper. The registered keeper might fraudulently take out finance on the car on the meantime, or may have already done so. And if the car commits any traffic offences, the NIPs will be late in getting to you. I think you have been misled, because this should have been made clear to you.
