Who operate the best/cheapest public EV charging stations?

I have just committed to buying my first 100 per cent electric car. Who are the best/cheapest recharging stations for charging whilst out and about please? Is there a suitable app to tell me where the charging stations are and are they in service?

The best charging networks are largely dependent on where you live and where you're planning on charging. BP Pulse is one of the biggest with 7000 chargers across the UK, while Ionity and Gridserve are usually convenient for rapid charging at places like motorway service stations (you'll pay a premium for their convenience, though). We'd recommend downloading the Zap-Map app to find locations of public EV chargers.
