Vice Verso?

More than 5 years ago I emailed you about changing my car. You recommended a Toyota Corolla Verso. I bought one and have been very happy with it. However it is time to change, and Toyota no longer makes a suitable replacement. My requirements are: 5 door hatchback, true automatic transmission (not the automated manual now offered by Toyota and some other car makers), easy access (I have some mobility problems), a good deep windscreen and a driver's seat that goes well back (I am 6'3" tall). I am fairly flexible on budget - say up to £20,000, and am considering buying a new or nearly new vehicle. I would be grateful for any recommendations.

Actually, the new Toyota Verso has a proper CVT automatic transmission, not an automated manual, and also an excellent new 1.8 Valvematic petrol engine. It's tested at www.honestjohn.co.uk , and we much preferred it to the diesel.
