Old folks roam
Two years ago I gave up my car as, at 81, I felt I was getting dangerous because of my two gammy feet. I feel that a mobility scooter is sufficient for me. But Nottingham City Council have taken a dislike to these. They have barricaded a short-cut footpath as they were told that a motorcyclist had been seen to travel through the alley. My return journey to the local large Co-op is now two miles further than it was. I have been trying to find out if Disability Legislation has any bearing on what I could force the Council to do?

You can challenge the council on the basis of The Disability
Discrimination Act, by showing that the council has barred the passage of anyone in a wheelchair or on a mobility scooter. There are potentially massive penalties against the council for this.
