What is the crunching noise when I shift into different gears?

I have a 2015 Hyundai Tucson with 50,000 miles on the clock. A few weeks ago I started having problems getting into fourth gear; it makes a horrible sounding crunching noise every time I shift into it. Today, I started getting the same issue but in sixth gear. All the other gears are fine. Any ideas of the problem? Thanks.

We'd suspect that the synchromesh has failed.
