A legend in its own lurch-time

We are looking to replace my partner’s CVT Mini-Cooper possibly with a Fiat 500C Auto. The auto-box fitted would be FIAT’s Dualogic gearbox. Could you say, please, how good this is in terms of smoothness and reliability?

The only FIAT Dualogic I've ever driven was very impressive indeed. The smoothest shifting automated manual I've tried. See FIAT QUBO test at www.honestjohn.co.uk Hard acceleration gearchanges are recorded there on video. I’ve received no complaints of actuator or clutch problems on recent Dualogics. Remember FIAT/Alfa Romeo was one of the first to develop this technology with its Selaspeed, so learned from the mistakes of the early days.
