How much does it cost to replace a cat. converter?

Any idea of the cost to replace a catalytic converter on a 2016 diesel Volkswagen Golf, please?

You'll be looking at around £500 at an approved Volkswagen garage or £400 at an independent garage. That's just for the catalytic converter, though. If the DPF (diesel particulate filter) needs replacing, too, then you can easily add another £800 to the total.
