Flats domino
I have a BMW 530D Auto - coming up for its 5th birthday. I am pretty pleased with it and plan to keep it for about 2 or 3 more years. My only niggle really is that the ride is a bit harsh - I have low-profile runflat tyres and suspect that this might be the problem. All the tyres will need replacing in about a month's time. Is there anything I might do at this stage that might improve the ride? Should I switch to conventional tyres, or go for different run-flat options.

Good news and bad news. Bridgestone RFT3s use new technology to offer a ride equivalent to conventional tyres of the same profile, 5% worse at worst instead of 20% worse. They also run flat without damage for longer. The downside is they don't handle as well when deflated. The bad news is they don't arrive until the autumn, sort of forcing you into another set if RFT2s before you can upgrade.
