Sure thing
You recently gave me your thoughts on trading my MX-5. I've still not made up my mind between a Cayman and a 370Z but decided to get shot of the Mazda anyway, so I thought you'd be interested in feedback on BCA’s Sure Sell. To put it in perspective, a Porsche main dealer had offered me £11k part-exchange, but admitted I'd be better off selling the Mazda privately. Used values looked pretty buoyant on Auto Trader, which you'd expect at this time of year, but work commitments meant I just didn't have time to field the calls and arrange viewings. Instead, I opted for www.sure-sell.info. A customer adviser was straight on the phone, talking me through the details (I know from your forums that some people have mixed experiences here, but I couldn't fault it). I received an acceptable reserve valuation (£13,200) the following day. I dropped the car off at BCA Enfield on a nice sunny Saturday. I got a call two days later, to say it had sold the same day for £14,950. Obviously there are commission fees to deduct but even so, I'm well pleased with the result. It's a price I'd happily have settled for if selling it privately. Thanks for the tip.

That's astonishing. Obviously a private buyer on the Saturday, and you picked the right sunny day to sell a roadster, but an excellent result. And, of course, you avoid all the hassle of selling privately: canvassers, midnight calls, wasted time waiting for buyers who don’t show up, undesirables on your doorstep, illegal uninsured ‘test drives’, comebacks, and the possibility of dodgy payments.
