Do you have any advice about driving to charge a flat battery?

If I take my car for a decent motorway run to charge battery, do you have any advice about speeds, gears, putting heaters on etc?

Due to the current lockdown, I would advise against any non-essential road travel at this time. If you are concerned about the battery in your car then I would recommend fitting a trickle charger.

What make of trickle charger would you recommend to keep a car's battery topped up during the current lockdown. I'd prefer a type which operates through the cigarette lighter socket.
I haven't used my 2018 Ford Fiesta for three weeks now and probably won't be using it for a few weeks more. Should I start it up on my drive and leave the engine running to keep the battery charged?
