Mercedes bent?
I recently purchased a Mercedes 1995 SL500 Cat D due to front bumper cosmetic damage, I have presented my car at an approved body repairer in Kettering Northants for corrective repairs as I like the car and wish to have it returned to as new state with a full respray as well. Can you please assist as I would like to know how and where I can present the car with a view to changing the category to Cat D inspected? Do you know what the process involves and what it costs? Many thanks for any assistance

Go to www.vosa.gov.uk for the information. Basically you take it to
a government run commercial vehicle testing station for an inspection and all clear. For Cat Ds it's usually just a formality, but one you have to pay for. FAQ about this at www.honestjohn.co.uk
