Dodgem ride
I have a 2005 MINI Cooper. I would now like a car with a softer ride but with the acceleration and road holding of the Mini. I would be grateful for your suggestions and advice.

New MINIs on standard suspension with 15" wheels have much softer suspension than those on Sports suspension and 17" wheels. There are several options between these extremes. The Ford Ka has softer, more compliant suspension and better handling than the FIAT 500 on which it is based. The Abarth 500 on 16" wheels has softer, more compliant suspension than the FIAT 500, because it uses softer Ka rear springs and a stiffer suspension beam. But the low cost 17” bling wheel option spoils this and loses steering feel.
