I have recently bought a Left Hand Drive, (UK plates) FIAT Barchetta and am planning on driving it down to the coast of Spain and leaving it down there for the foreseeable future? I have found an insurance company who will insure me for the next year, but could you please advise me as to if I need English Road tax? Or should I just get the minimum put on? What happens over there when it runs out?

You have to get your Spanish ‘assessor’ to go through the rigmarole of having it tested and registering it to your Spanish property. You cannot simply take it there and leave it there. That is illegal.
