I'm about to buy a new Skoda Octavia 1.9TDI Elegance estate. I want to protect the car, as far as possible, from the beginning, as I intend to keep it until it falls to bits. My question is, whether you have any advice on the best way to protect the bodywork and particularly about the treatments which are professionally applied near purchase, e.g. Diamondbrite (by Jewelultra), which is recommended by my vendor, at £250. I contacted a professional valeter, who quoted about £150 for a full job which included 'claying' the car. Sorry to be dim, but is this good?
