Big whack

On July 25th last year you published a letter from PM of Kineton regarding his experience at a branch of McDonalds, where he was sent a penalty charge for overstaying his visit - while he was giving them his custom. I have had a similar experience and feel just as strongly as PM about the matter. I would be very interested to know if PM was successful in the action you recommended to him so I would be grateful if you could forward this email to him so that we can, hopefully, talk together about the matter.

One of my readers was. I can't remember if it was PM or another. He followed my advice by responding to the demand with a payment of £10 and a letter stating that he found this "fair and reasonable compensation for the minor breach of his parking contract with MacDonalds". He copied this to the franchisee of the branch of MacDonalds. In return, he received an apology from the franchisee, a letter from the parking enforcers stating no further action would be taken, and his cheque for £10 was not cashed.
