Leaving me behind

I was wondering whether there is anything I need to do if leaving a car unused (garaged) for about 4 weeks? Or anything to do when back before starting up? It's a petrol engine and starts first time thanks to regular maintenance and oil changes.

The most important things are to switch off everything before switching off the ignition. Switch off the radio, switch off the heater fan, switch off the interior light completely, take the bulb out of the boot light. Take your car for a 20-mile run immediately before parking. Then you stand a good chance of coming back to find some charge left in the battery. Alternatively you could leave it hooked up to a battery conditioning trickle charger
