Shifting expectations

At your suggestion, I've run a Honda Jazz for the last five years and was so pleased with it, I bought the new one, which simply doesn't measure up - the auto gearbox is awful and having lived with it for a few months, I want to change. Can you suggest an economical, petrol, auto, small to mid size that I can trade in the Jazz for (top spec with leather but not sat nav) and add £3 - £4k?

Maybe a SEAT Ibiza 1.4 Twincharger DSG at £14,995, though there are still lingering doubts over hesitation bogging down on setting off.
