Lowest of the low
I saw Telegraph Motoring’s recent feature on kit cars and thought you might like to see my car. It wasn't built from a kit. It all came from my imagination. Built over 18 months on my front drive with no cover. I did all the work myself. The base car is a 1989 Citroen BX, used for its adjustable hydropneumatic suspension and the body is mainly aluminium with some fibreglass. I wanted to emulate cars built by George Barris in California the 50s and 60s. There are lots of pics on line and reactions within the custom car community both here and in America. Just google "Duality Sled" or "Dualatron Sled".

Amazing. Looks part 1950, part 1961. What's it like on speed humps?

I plan to keep my existing Skoda Fabia and buy a kit car for fun, perhaps a JBA Falcon or Marlin. What documents should I ask to see from a private buyer? is there anything else I need to know or do?
I am aware that kit cars are available for Lamborghini and Ferrari models plus various American muscle cars. But are you aware of a kit car company that does the body for a Citroen DS?
